Teaching and motivating children...

...has been a passion of mine since I was in elementary school.  I loved everything about it - from decorating the room to grading papers and leaving motivational messages on their assignments.  As a result, I graduated from Dominguez Hills with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies and a minor in Psychology (2003).  I have 15 ECE (Early Childhood Education) units from CSDH.  

Montessori

I subbed at a Montessori school while I was training, and fell in love with the Montessori philosophy, of "following the child".  I finalized my Montessori training in 2007 and have been a Montessori teacher for 18 years.

My goal is to work with children one on one and help them gain their confidences - study skills, verbal expression and self worth.  My vision is for them to feel proud and comfortable when they go to school.  Because every child deserves a chance of success.

My method is to provide both academic and social coaching together.  This helps the child become more confident in their abilities across the board and makes an immediate impact on their performance in school.

After the intake I will make a suggestion based on those findings to define the strategy best fit for your child.
